I am Virgo in my perfectionistic nature and the analytical way I see things. I think this is why I chose my specific theme in jewelry art; origami – every fold meticulous and exacting: the outcome is paper perfection.
Ruled by the element earth I am a tactile creature, and I love the exquisite Japanese papers I work with, so full of texture and color; they inspire me.
My inventive nature and creative Virgoan side enjoys taking these meticulously folded paper forms and turning them into the focal points of various pieces of jewelry.
Ever critical, as the way of Virgo, sometimes finding the perfect beads to enhance my jewelry pieces can become time consuming, but when it’s all said and done, I fall in love with each piece created.
Now, my Virgo daughter, born five days before my 21st birthday, has a very different personality. She has yet to develop the exacting perfectionism that Virgos are known for and can let her creative juices flow without worrying and analyzing. I love working with her late into the evenings and relish her excitement at each finished piece as she expands her artistic side and delves into new, spontaneous ideas. I’m excited to see where it takes her because, even though perfectionism isn’t there, Virgo shows itself strongly in her trendy fashion sense and her flair for the dramatic.

Kozie Kritterz
I am a Virgo “all the way” and a crafter at heart. I live in 29 Palms, California with my wonderful husband and three delightful children. I love fall colors, sweet scents, and the “warm feeling.” Holding true to the Virgo standard, “perfect is almost good enough” my work on these adorable Kritterz is near perfect. I have put my heart and soul into making each Kritter. I love watching the personality of each Kritter come to life as I put its’ face on, find the perfect collar, trim and fluff its’ fur. Each Kritter is precisely hand wrapped over 2,200 times on the forms my Nana (now 94) used when she first started making them over thirty years ago. These are the same forms she used to teach me how to make my first cat when I was eight. I am Virgoan in the way that I put the Kritterz together methodically and to perfection. My Virgo passion for color and texture serves me well in my craft.
I can browse through a yarn store for hours just looking at the vibrant colors and feeling all the wonderful textures of the yarns.
When a Virgo sets out to achieve their goals they do so with a fiery determination and I don’t find myself any different. As a Virgo go-getter I have taught myself how to turn a cat into many new animals and a fun and fulfilling home business. It enables me to be able to stay home with my two young children and home school them. Crafting has always been a big part of my life and helps me stay centered and focused. Taking care of the smallest of details is what I am known for, just like each Kritter has his or her own adoption certificate and gable box home. I love being outside and I use a lot of items found in nature for my crafting. I also find that I’m at my calmest when I am creating these wonderful Kritterz.

More About The Lunar Cycles
Female nature is profoundly lunar at its biological base ~ Vicki Noble.
The new moon is the perfect time of the month to plant seeds of intention for the month ahead. It is a time of trust, of beginnings and of letting go into intuition. The sign that the moon is in reflects qualities of your inner self and being-ness. Each month there is at least one new moon that will rise at sunrise and set at sunset. Astrologically speaking this means that the sun and the moon are in conjunction. Take time to realign with the moon each month because with practice you’ll discover that you can create all you desire and so much more.
Virgo Meditation:
The Great Spirit said, ‘purity’
Have faith that all your hard work will
Come together and be of service to all
You are the recorder of all wisdom.

Introducing The Moon Muses
The Moon Muses are intuitive guides and question askers that offer insight and wisdom along with exercises to heal and inspire you. They are creative leap takers forming a glowing moonlit bridge between your rational self and your higher self, a self that dwells in pure intuition, clairvoyance (clear seeing), meditative reflection and dreaming. This month you will meet a Gemstone Muse, Pink Jasper and Alice, a Lefty Oracle Muse. I encourage all of you to create a Moon Musing Journal to record your monthly moon explorations (more about this in my eCourse, Awaken the Divine Feminine).
My Version of Virgo: Alice Lives Here
“Alice” is part of a series of 500 or so left-handed (my non-dominant hand!) drawings I created over a period of five years. These drawings were later turned into an oracle card deck that I use for giving Soul Readings.
Alice has appeared to remind all of us that if you’re happy, you’re on track!
So remember:
Now is a good time to start tracking your progress to see how far you’ve come. One way is by writing down your dreams and keeping a dream journal to keep track of which dreams have manifested in the real world and which haven’t. Try creating some colorful charts to organize things in a detailed way, such as tracking your dreams according to the moon and then looking back to see which moon phase and sign had the most effect upon your dreams.
A Dream Visioning Exercise
1. Keep track of your dreams this month by starting a dream journal to take note of the moon phases, moon and sun signs, your menstrual cycle, the day of the week, your moods and any other interesting tidbits of information that may be influencing your dreams.
2. How is your waking life influencing your dreaming world? Can you spot any connections that may be influencing your dreams?
3. Take note of your favorite, most wondrous dreamscape in the coming month.
4. If you could request dream guidance what would you like to know?
5. How have your dreams guided you in the past and have you ever connected with your spirit guides or ancestors in your dreams, and if so what happened?
Creative Prompt
Create a simple hanging mobile of your favorite dreamscape by cutting out images and words to represent your vision. Hang it somewhere prominent in your home and see what happens, making sure to take note of it in your Dream Journal.
A Message from Pink Jasper – Earth Momma!
You community needs you, no matter how large or how small your contribution! Your insight and input are invaluable and need to be shared. Take some time to journal about the different ways you could share your insights with your community in an inspired way. And yes, virtual communities count too, but Virgo being an Earth sign really wants you to get your hands dirty with the real stuff, not just virtual dirt so this means taking action in your surrounding community as well!
Action Hero Time
Take a moment to envision yourself inspiring, healing, and organizing others in your community. Pretend you are an action hero – who are you? Feel free to make up a name for yourself based upon your super-human powers or borrow a name from a well-known action figure.
Reserve a few pages in your journal to express yourself by describing your action hero look, your outfit, your special powers and all the amazing things that have made you the super special action hero that you truly are.
More About Me: Kathy is currently teaching Awaken Your Divine Feminine Soul at the Wise Woman University. “Celebrating the lunar cycles is an important part of building a spiritual framework. Each month we can tune into her cycles to keep ourselves on track. At the new moon we plant our intentions for the month ahead, at the full moon we watch them flower, and at the waning moon we release and share our wisdom with the world. As women we are naturally able to resonate with these cycles in deep and meaningful ways.”
Druids: a Holy Female Sisterhood
Dryadism and druidism (Scottish) were two phases of the same religion, restricted to a female priesthood in the earlier, matriarchal stage, but later open to male priests as well. Irish churches were originally known by the old druidic name of dairtech, or “oak-house,” a sacred grove. The Christian church attacked the Druids for their paganism, and also for their tendency to include sacred women in their ranks.
The “colleges” of druidesses, dryads, and high holy sisterhoods were later assimilated into Christian nuns. One of the three classes of druidesses consisted of secluded sisterhoods, such as the priestesses of Brigit, who lived in convent-like sanctuaries while tending perpetually burning sacred fires. Another less secluded class of druidess consisted of married women who lived at the temple and went home occasionally to visit their husbands. A third class was composed of temple servants who lived with their families.
The Vine Moon ~ 10th Lunar MonthThere is no break between the ancient semi-magical formulae chanted by the Druids and later incantations of the wizard and “wise woman.”
Moon of Exhilaration
September 2 – 29th
During the tenth lunar month, also known as the “Moon of Exhilaration” or Vine Moon we celebrate the Autumn Equinox in the Northern Hemisphere. The Vine Moon is dedicated to Dionysus, Osiris, and Bacchus and her five-pointed leaves are sacred to the White Goddess. The energies of this moon symbolize peace and enduring strength. The wild-growing vine or bramble also governs inspiration, imagination, poetry, and imagery.
The essence of strength contained within the Vine is retained in her wine.
My Handpainted Celtic Tree Goddess Deck ~ Inspiration
I have always been inspired by tales of the Celts and Druids probably owing to my red haired lineage and my collection of red-haired friends (and a red haired husband as well). So I painted a series of Celtic tree inspired Goddesses on silk for a hand lettered one-of-a-kind book that I later turned into a Celtic Tree oracle deck used for giving Soul Readings. If you would like a soul reading exclusively with this deck, just let me know ahead of time when you purchase your reading or to purchase a Celtic Goddess print or card please click the link.

Being a Pisces definitely influences the creation of my handcrafted jewelry. Pisces are creative beings often drawn to the sea and influenced by water. We tend to be intuitive, romantic, imaginative, subtle, and mystical daydreamers although I take issue with some of the traits attributed to Pisces.
The symbol for Pisces is two fish moving in opposite directions representing the conflicting desires of flesh and spirit. I too have conflicts in this area. I am a corporate queen during the day, but my true desire is to make a living selling my beautiful handcrafted jewelry. I’m also a day-dreamer and you will often find me staring and smiling and dreaming up some really great jewelry creation while in my own little world. I will get out my bead board and some beads and stones and just start placing them soon finding myself in a zone all by myself where I can create anything. I sometimes become attached to one of my creations and want to keep it for myself and then there is conflict, but the business woman inside of me overrules this selfishness so that I can focus on profit instead.
My creativity is usually inspired by my mood and reflects my feelings at any given time.
I am a hopeless romantic and my wedding necklace and earring sets reflect this romantic, feminine side. Crystals and pearls together envelope the senses and exude romance & femininity and I feel very honored that someone would want my creations to be a part of their special day. Crystals are so mystical and reflect the light so magnificently which only intensifies with the movement of the wearer, but don’t stare you may become transfixed!
Pisces are also know for their compassion and I also like to spend time volunteering with Big Brothers/Big Sisters.

As a true Pisces I am a dreamer. I dream up many of my creations or fall asleep with them popping into my head only to awaken and hope to remember them. Sometimes I wake up and one pops into my head which is great because I can get up and draw a quick picture of it!
While I am very imaginative and prefer to seek refuge in my imagination, I am not overly sensitive since I was a professional business woman for over thirty years. On the other hand because I can go with the flow like a fish I could just as easily follow as lead! I can also be the boss’s favorite because I understand who the perfect employee is and can become just that, but I am truly happiest being my own boss and creating my dreams!
I’m a big performer, storyteller, dancer and public speaker whenever I get the chance, including at funerals where others may be tongue tied, yet I feel it’s important that something special was said. Ideally I’d love to be in the performing arts but was pushed into using my intelligence for accounting and analytical work where I can crunch numbers and tell you things you wouldn’t see for yourself. I’m big on out of the box thinking because no limitations have ever been put on my imagination.
My seventh grade creative writing teacher once told me to never lose my imagination and I’ve taken that to heart.
Only recently was I able to finally do what I’ve always wanted to and that is become a fiber artist and to create using various media; fabric, beads, and bobbles, both recycled and new. As a child of two I’d collect all my mother’s sewing scraps and drape them around my dolls creating flowing outfits. I love using pearls and shimmery, shiny things from the sea and if I had my way I’d drape myself in lush flowing gowns with long trailing sleeves, covering myself in pearls, beads and all kinds of jewelry with rings on every finger…oops, I already do that! During the winter here in New England you’ll find me wearing rich velvets and wild capes! I can still remember when I was four years old and my ballet teacher would wear a feather in her hat with a red cape; her style was so unique. Later, she moved to New York City to open a ballet studio and I never saw her again, but
I’ve never forgotten to wear things that make me happy no matter what others say.
Because I am a big planner, I draw my inspirations months ahead of time when ideas and dreams pop into my head. My boyfriend finally understands that when I make a decision it’s not based on what is obvious, but instead relies upon intuition. Many of my best works just flow out of me when I have fabric laid out. I will start with a drawing that I want to bring to life and end up with a multitude of styles. As a clothes horse myself, I’d like to wear something different every day if I could, and in turn offer my customers a lot of choice and diversity so that everyone can find something they’ll love.
There will always be that one item that very few people like yet it sells because someone somewhere loved it and that’s what makes it all worthwhile to me.
Growing up in the 1960′s and 70′s when girl’s dresses were so special and now are almost impossible to find in that style I try to create things girls will never forget and hopefully pass down to a special girl themselves one day. I hope you put on one of my fabric creations and then relax, forget time, problems and deadlines and dream about how it could be…
What is Scrying?
I was recently asked what ‘scrying’ is so I’ve included a helpful video below (discovered on You Tube) that explains it clearly and concisely. I do not currently practice scrying although I do work with crystal balls and spheres of all shapes and sizes. Some of my favorites are:
Pink Quartz: for heart healing and connecting.
Jet: to connect with the ancestors and past lives.
Mahogany Obsidian: for going much deeper into a soul reading to clairvoyantly see and feel energy.
Labradorite: for journeys into other worlds with curiosity and wonder.
Moss Agate: for grounding and connection with Mother Earth.
Petrified Wood: to connect with emotional traumas and blockages and connect with past lives.
