Dear Creative Soul,

With Artemis and my mentor by my side I'm stepping up to the plate and bringing my own voice more authentically to the forefront of all that I do.  So, what does that mean for you?

My Creative Soul Classes are now called Moon Circles and my hour long Circles are now free (donation only).

I've also designed a new banner for this website which was based upon the badge I used for my Divine Feminine eClass which I've renamed the 4 Week Moon Circle.  I'll be offering this Circle at Mt. San Jacinto College and once again at Susun Weed's Wise Woman University in 2015.

Why do you need to know about all these changes?  Because I'm finding my way and I want you to know what that looks like 'cause who knows, maybe it will inspire you too. I'm spending more time listening to my guides and my ancestors. I'm devoting more time to my art-self (and really digging the work of surrealist artist Leonora Carrington). I'm learning how to speak in public through Toastmasters and through joining the Holistic Registry in Menifee, CA where I'll be giving 60 second talks and then hour long presentations (Moon Circles). I'm being HONEST with myself and with others about what it is I actually do (I've updated my bio to reflect this which you can read at the bottom of this post).  So if this resonates with you then you're in the right place.

The other thing I'm doing differently now that I've come out of my Hermit Phase (for the last 5 years; basically since the economy took a nose dive) is that I'm giving in-person intuitive readings starting this Sunday, Nov. 30 at The Owl's Lantern in Fullerton, CA.  And I'm doing readings differently than anyone else (as far as I know). I'll be channeling/writing what comes through and then talking about it and giving this written material to the client 'cause that's how I work best and I'm no longer afraid to stand up for my own weird and wonderful way of doing things. I believe it makes for a better reading AND a reading that you can actually take home with you.

Tiffany's Reading:

I will begin your past life reading by taking a look at two of your past lives based upon a psychic/soul reading of your past life energy.

Lifetime 1

The first image I receive is of a beautiful, willowey, blonde bombshell by the name of Ramona Randolph (a made-up name) who is up to all kinds of trouble; a temptress and a tease who laments, “I could have been a 1940’s pinup girl.” You also loved the color, apple green.

You were so used to making up stories about your past that it was hard to know what was true and what wasn’t; even for yourself. It was as if you had blotted everything else out.

Laughingly you say, “When I’m old and wise, I may tell!”

I get a glimpse of your earlier life and see a dirt-poor existence, a ranch, and many children, plus a still for making grain alcohol.  You got out as fast as you could. “I didn’t need them” you say, referring to “ma and pa” and the dirty rugrats.  It appears as though the time period is 1920’s-40’s.

“I sent them money, but I was free of that life, poverty…hell. I wanted something better”.

I can’t tell you where this took place exactly, but it was in rural USA and it could be Illinois or the Appalachians;  it was hot in winter and cold in the summer.

“I’m not sorry I left ‘cause I can do better,” you say.

And you did, you clawed your way up from ‘night-work’ to hostess to secretary (albeit a very sexy one) where you garnered much male attention.

There was a beau by the name of Ralph, but he couldn’t keep up (financially) and fell behind (as if it was a race, a competition).

In the end, you got rid of them all but your boss (I get the name “Hilary”). He was a private man, svelte, imposing, very shielded (his energy), always in dark, imposing suits, with dark hair; closed off energy. But he accepted you and this empowered you; your confidence in yourself grew until you were able to help run the company (manufacturer of gadgets/fasteners for women’s clothing) in Chicago, with offices in New York.

You became more business-like, adopted dark, close-fitting, pin striped suits and dark heels. You had a nose for making money, clinching deals.

You didn’t have time for children.

You forgot your past and reveled in your present. You were secure (and also a proud owner of a big, fluffy, white cat!)

When you became too old to run the company, you bequeathed it to a promising young man who working within the company and you let him take it over.

You enjoyed old age and bought a stately country home in the South (plantation-like).

Sometimes you thought about your family and your past, but you knew it was too late to go back. This saddened you (on your deathbed, from old age), but the hand who held yours in the end was the hand of your beloved and that was enough.

Life Lessons

Sometimes nothing is ever enough, you thought, but in the end you died a contented woman, with few misgivings, although you knew, in your soul that you would be returning to make things right with your family.

Fairy Herbal Card Guidance: A message from Ramona to you:

I pull a Fairy Herbal Healing card from my deck for insight with this and she is called Juniper.

The message is: Don’t ever give up because you’ve got what it takes to be anything and do anything. Perhaps your path will be gentler than mine. Do take care, I love you.

Juniper is a protective herb of the Sun.  It is associated with the base chakra where the kundalini, or serpent power, lies dormant.  Juniper helps those who are blocked on the physical plane, generally earth types.  It is also useful for those who are looking for a more spiritual way of life, who want to embrace fire.  Juniper allows a person to be more detached emotionally and to move on from obsessions or resentments, from anger and violence.  Being fiery, juniper can also help to ‘dry out’ water types, who become lost in a sea of emotion and are unable to act or initiate.  Fire provides focus and direction.  It energizes the will and gives courage, something that watery types sometimes lack.

You can work with Juniper incense or burn juniper berries over charcoal at the new and full moons.  As you work with Juniper, allow yourself to become inspired and encouraged by your own spiritual fire.

Other Lifetimes I accessed briefly:

• ­Sharecroppers: a hard, scrabbling existence.
• A bowing waiter/servant and these words repeated: “best practice”.
• Hunter/gatherer times: a small brown boy in a loin cloth, at home in the overgrown landscape/jungle?
• A very proper lady all in frills and ruffles, well-to-do (Jasmina).

Lifetime 2

The first image I receive is of a cruel, sharp wretch, kicking a pet and then I see you; scrabbling like a poor rabbit into some rags in a corner.

After enduring this childhood I see you emerge; a tall, very pale, slim lad in a dark, poor-fitting suit – a scholar at heart!

You escape from this life in a gypsy wagon to the nearest busy town center and your first job is as an apprentice to a hat maker (men’s hats).

You love the city and especially the cemeteries; the big old stones, the names on the tombs; as you learn to read.

Your name sounds like Pierre.  You are quick and slim with a soft spot for travelling performers who you give coins to.

You meet a young lady that you like who has long, straight, dirty-blonde hair. She is polite, but obviously looks down on you. She is well-dressed (somewhat), but not rich.

So you start learning poetry and writing it; it flows out of you and makes you happy.

You never do connect with this young lady, but through her you discover poetry.

Your master opens a fine men’s shop and you are busier than ever. It appears to be the 1850’s in Paris.

Unfortunately you suffer an untimely death from a street cart that runs you over.  You were 23 and your head was in the clouds. You were a dreamer and a romantic at heart. Your death was quick so that is some small consolation.

This was a very hard life to begin with, but you made the best of it and dragged yourself out of the muck once again, so to speak. You discovered beauty within the ugliness around you and this sustained you. You never knew love, but you knew hard work and how to make a living and feed your soul. Well done, but sad too.

Jen's Soul Reading & Her Comments

I just wanted to let you know that after receiving the reading, something sort of clicked and I have been really happy to feel as though I not only can, but need to pause every day to make sure I am not losing myself in tasks that will never be completed. I think the greatest gift of the reading though, was the feeling that I am growing from one phase of my life into another. It's a process to let go of the need to make myself feel worthy by accomplishing any number of things I set up for myself but I have, on the whole, felt as though it's getting easier and easier. I have also taken to heart the notion of seeing myself as a joyful person instead of just as a responsible person and it's getting easier to do that as well.

I was happy to see that my bookmark was "Jonie, perpetual daisy dreamer" because shortly after I got this reading I pulled out my art journal for the first time in months and made a "dreaming" page :)

A 1 Question Soul Reading for Jennifer Swanson, June, 2010

How a Soul Reading Works:

My preferred mode of reading someone's soul-energy is via distance - this allows me to focus on you, your spirit and your guides in a focused way clear of distractions. Each reading involves preparations such as meditation and yoga to help me focus. I will often pull healing stones and a card(s) from one of my four self-designed and painted oracle card decks, but unlike a tarot reading I will not actually look at the card until after your reading is finished. The card imagery and description often serve to accentuate and emphasize certain points in your reading and along with the healing stones may also give you some more tools to work with on your own after the reading is over.

This reading is in response to Jen's question:

How can I start seeing myself as worthwhile because of who I am, not how much I get done?

The very first thing I am drawn to for your reading is an unusual gemstone called Nuumite. This stone instructs me to create a lovely cocoon for you – a place to rest, recharge and rejuvenate – a sacred cave that you can visualize any time you want.

Nuumite can help one to bravely and honestly face the shadow self and find Love in one’s heart for those aspects of self that one has denied, vilified or ignored.

Affirmation: I willingly go into the depths of myself to heal and recover what has been lost, and I achieve self-mastery in so doing.

It’s like you’re constantly weighing out the balance of things and taking a count… ie. this is worth so much and this so much, and so on. It’s like a laundry list (I smell soap!)

But what about joy? The fun heart? The light-hearted you?

For some insight I pull a card from my Lefty Oracle deck and it is called “To dither or not to dither, that is the question."

You allow your workload to bury the joyful, fun, light-hearted part of you.

I suggest working with a lovely starry, blue stone called Lapis Lazuli (or with an image of this stone, more about how to do this is included at the end of your reading) to help you see the bigger picture and to access your Goddess-self.

Lapis Lazuli helps to purge or cleanse souls of a past that is no longer necessary. You are getting prepared for a period of growth and an enhanced understanding of your path and purpose here. You may need to do some soul searching right now.

In ancient Egypt, the deep blue cobalt color of Lapis was revered as a messenger from the heavens. The gold flecks were like the stars in the night-time sky and were regarded as touchstones for truth and light. Lapis draws the mind inward to seek its own source of power, it penetrates rather than heals. Lapis represents going through your own darkness and illusion and your own subconscious, to truly identify with your Goddess Self and it’s flecks of gold symbolize the wisdom that is achieved upon completing this process.

It will not be difficult for you to access higher realms and your higher purpose because you are someone who can do pretty much whatever you set your mind to, right?!

Once you can acknowledge that your higher self, purpose and Joy Self exists then you are ready to access this side of yourself in the best way possible. (This is the first step, now on to the second step.)

To help inspire you I pull a card from my Goddess Zodiac deck and it is called “Aquarius Goddess.”

Aquarius teaches us about independence, detachment and individuality.

Aquarian Challenge: Your purpose is to see the patterns of ideas, networks and human relations. Your challenge is to know what you feel and to build intimacy and collectivity. Although you may need to learn tact, Aquarius offers you a natural political knack, a tribal consciousness and an abstract, iconoclastic soul.

How to get inspired?

By letting go and releasing into a free flowing, natural way of being – not difficult at all. With this release comes an acceptance of your higher purpose.

Just one glimpse and one step into this realm (that is all within you) will shape your vision forever and you can never go back to the old way of being, the way of feeling inferior and overworked and over burdened with too much to do.

You will let go and allow what is heart and soul-important to take precedence - a new you is born within the seeds of the old you.

Pick a good book, filled with inspiration to keep by your side and also a small journal for love – love of you. Be kind to yourself.

I pull another card just for you and it is called “Jonie, perpetual daisy dreamer."

Every way is the right way, because it’s all within you.

Oracle Card Summary:

You tend to get buried in the little things. Aquarius is asking you to expand your horizons in every way possible and to see beyond the mundane world.

Jonie dreams and so too can you, you just need permission and that must come from within.
