If this card appears in a reading it’s time to acknowledge your gifts and talents. You have been given an opportunity to shine, so take it even if it’s only a very small opportunity. Little things are JUST as important as big things because they often lead the way to bigger breakthroughs. But you do need to take that first step and acknowledge yourself first. Don’t expect someone else to do that for you. You need to take responsibility for you.

In my own life I am sometimes ask how I maintain my passion for creating, writing, spiritual guidance etc. For me, it’s a slow, steady and daily practice that comes in waves. Sometimes my art is in the forefront, sometimes my soul readings, but my writing and journaling are a daily practice. I ride the waves knowing that my passions ebb and flow. Along the way opportunities pop up and I am ready for them because I do the work.

Rest your eyes, nose, mouth, ears, face, heart.

Breathe deeply and sink into the delicate (or bold) colors of your favorite flowers. Allow yourself to be held and caressed by their gentle petals. Smell them (or not, if you're sensitive) and feel their gentle magic light up your soul tingling all your cells.

Say thanks or give a small blessing to Mother Earth.

Now, go even deeper within to where the still, small voice inside resides and ask your question (if you have one) allowing it to bubble up naturally, like breathing. Lefty Oracle for the New Moon: Homer, on the verge of greatness*

Mantra: I strive.
Affirmation: I let go of fear to be here now.
Element: Water

If this card appears in a reading it’s about time you asked yourself who you’re trying so hard to please and why it’s never enough. Instead of seeking approval outside of yourself go within and be your own best friend. You ARE good enough and, in fact you are the best YOU there is and the only YOU that will ever exist.

In my own life this card was inspired by my dad, and that story is a long one indeed. I learned a lot about what not do to in life from him, and for that I am grateful.

What does greatness look like to you? What meaning does it hold?

Begin this New Year in silence. Perhaps beside your altar, or outside in nature.

Allow the Lefty Oracle card of the New Moon to speak to you. (see below)

Ask what you need, right now, from the Universe, the Divine, God/dess.

Ask for a light to shine upon your heart's most hidden desire, right now.

Don't dwell too long in this space, for you have work to do!

Next, I suggest that you write out a one word affirmation to help you connect with your heart's vision anytime/anyplace. Add a special, memory jogging symbol next to this word as well.

To end, thank your guides, the Divine and this Lefty.

Whatever little thing you do, that you think doesn't matter, it does. The magick is in the details. Allow your being to flow into this knowing-ness and rest there a moment...absorb.

Allow all else to fade/flow away until, like a vessel or bottle lost at sea, you are empty, awash, awake, yet dreaming. THIS is the space in-between (a very Piscean space to be). Choice is one of the more challenging words in the English language.
I make choices every second!
Or do I?

Am I just doing what’s expected of me,
or as I’ve been told to do?

What if choice means that I stand alone against the world?
What then?

Each day in every way I choose integrity;
an open mind,
self respect,
and education.

The choice
is mine.

If this card appears in a reading it’s time to make a choice. Something important needs to be decided upon right now and you need to take the steps necessary to do so. Sometimes our choices can feel pre-ordained or just too difficult to make so we deal with it by burying our head in the sand. If you’ve been procrastinating, now is the time to move forward. This card demands that you make the tough decisions now so that you can move forward in your life. If unsure of what choice is best, take your time to weigh your options, make a pros and cons list or talk to a trusted friend, advisor, the Divine or your higher power. But act now while your options are open.

In my own life this card has a radical quality to it calling for decisive fearlessness. With Aries Rising in my astrological chart I MUST move forward bravely and strike while the iron is hot, so that the momentum of my decision can carry me full steam ahead. I see a choice as an opportunity to do what’s best for me first and foremost because only I know what my needs really are for optimal well-being.
