Pisces Full Moon Reading: Honour Yourself

Dear Moon Muser, i don't know about you, but things are finally moving forward again after the last Mercury Retrograde that just ended although Mars is still retrograde until August 27th. For me this Moon feels a bit spacey (so Piscean!) and ME-focused. It's also helped me more clearly see a vision I've been feeling for some time now and to write, write, write. In my own personal life I gain daily focus by writing a to-do list every morning after breakfast; a list that actually is do-able so that I can gain much needed satisfaction from checking things off my list.

Breathe into this contemplation knowing that you are well loved just for being you - that is enough. Always.

To begin, visualize yourself surrounded by ice.
Alive.
The ice contains and purifies your soul so that your deepest, purest, inner mission awaits you clearly.

Sustain enough inner fire to stay alive.

When this card appears in a reading it’s time for self care! What do you need to make yourself feel good? To feel pampered, cared for, loved? Make a list and do one of the things on the list every day for a week. Note how good it feels. Revel in it. Express it. Just plain enjoy it. It’s long overdue and you deserve it, whether you know it or not.

In my own life I try to take special note of daily pleasures; melted cheese on toast, warm sun on bare skin, hugs, and walks in nature on a dirt road. Sometimes I make silly, relaxing sounds to release my joy, sometimes I smile to myself and I give thanks when I remember. Life is simple at such moments but oh, so full.

The Birthing of the Lefty Oracle Deck

I became a soul reader at age forty after painting exclusively with my non dominant left hand for over five years. This awoke my intuition in a big way and taught me how to slow down and trust myself. In 2008 I created a Lefty Oracle deck and started giving intuitive readings that have touched many lives.

Growing up, I used store bought tarot and oracle decks, but when I started giving readings professionally I decided to make my own cards. So I chose fifty-two images out of one thousand lefty drawings and made a deck. I also took classes in clairvoyance and mediumship.

Full Moon Musings in Sagittarius

To begin I go into trance as a I sit within my sacred, protected circle and I pull a Lefty Oracle card and ask the question: "How can I help others and myself this Full Moon?" This is what comes to me verbatim (unedited) as I write it down.

Sometimes I find words more and more circuitous and i ask myself, "Do I have any worthwhile words to share?" I've been working with Goddess Hecate lately and all the freezers around me aren't working. Hmmm...frozen emotions? Unbroken emotions ...feelings emerging, feelings breaking out...words...just words, that don't capture what I'm feeling because most often I don't want to share my feelings. They are private. But here in this space I want to be of service so I share what I can with you.

When life hands you razor blades, what do you do? I make art, of course and I slice away unwanted and un-needed elements, to get down to bone...truths, or at least happy putty. (At this point, I'm debating whether to share any of this!)

But I will ask, that you find a friend you can trust and open your heart, in whatever way you can. If you're alone, share your heart with the trees, online, on paper, with your gods. I share mine every day by painting my Crone Club Charms and then sharing my favorites and a few words with my Crone Club. This brings me immense happiness, pleasure and joy, like nothing else.

If this card appears in a reading expect the unexpected! There is a trickster in your midst. Maybe it’s you? Not a mean trickster, but a true trickster; one who shifts your reality and helps you see things from a new perspective. Perhaps you’ve become complacent, or lazy, or overly self satisfied, and are no longer seeing the big picture because you’re too caught up in small details and worries. This WILL change soon so get ready to open your eyes wide and see the world in a whole new way.

In my own life I do my best to see negative, challenging experiences on a deeper level and I ask questions, such as, “What is the teaching in this? What is being mirrored back to me about myself? What changes need to happen now?”

Sagittarius Goddess ~ Artemis*

Artemis, Artemis,
Goddess of the wood
You are bows and arrows, death and birth
Midnight revels and pregnant mirth.
Wild woman, child, hunter of beast,
We find our true self when we dance at your feast.

Artemis is the virgin moon-goddess roaming the forest with her band of nymphs, bearing the bow and quiver, avoiding men and killing any male who looks upon her. She was also known as the many-breasted Artemis of Ephesus, a symbol of fecundity. As the warlike Artemis she is said to have been the special goddess of the Amazons.

I Paint Sagittarius

Channeling Sagittarian energy allowed me to trust in life and to leap before looking knowing that I am safe. When I seek truth I know Sag energy.  Sag teaches us how to uplift our spirit, teach others, and carry the truth within opening us all to other realities.  We must heal the artist, the creator, and the dreamer within. To create is to release ourselves into the flow of life. We trust that in freely expressing ourselves that we are doing it for everyone, because we realize that each one of us is a Creator.
