My Story (the enchanted version)

Dancing girl elf watercolor by Kathy Crabbe My Story by Kathy Crabbe

I'm adopted so my origins were a mystery but I didn't ever wonder where I was from, I knew!  In University I had posters of Scotland and France on my walls and later I found out my ancestors did come from there.

I am surrounded by red heads. My best friends, Jen and Tangerine (Jennifer), my husband Mark, and later I found my birth mom and brother Mark were also red heads

The whole story of how I met my husband was a knowing that also deeply involved my birth family whom I didn't know at the time. How I found and happily reunited with my birth family involved another knowing and serendipitous 'coincidence'.

Perhaps because I had no past growing up I had to learn to trust my instincts to guide me into the future and they have yet to steer me wrong.

I live an enchanted life! Oh yes, and my other best friend is an elf. Truth.

Someone once told me, "You'll never make a living from the moons and stars", and it made me cry, but it also made me stronger. "Yes I will. Yes I am. You, dear sir, are wrong."

As my mentor and teacher Francesca De Grandis says 'I am your lucky charm' and I feel the same - I am your lucky charm.

The forests, oaks, lakes, rivers and ocean call to me and I am blessed to play and dance among them with the spirits of the land and water.

Our pets still carry this wild-ness in their veins and I cherish them too.

My work is an enchanted knowing-ness and expression of the wild, untamed dance that is our spirit, divine and free. Please join me in celebration.

I'm Interviewed on the Feminine Mojo Radio Show

My interview on The Feminine Mojo Show is ready for a listen; fun was had by all, plus some serious talk about creativity, the nodes of the moon, karmic mission,  lunar cycles, the Divine Feminine, past lives, and turning forty plus one call-in.

Listen to internet radio with Feminine Mojo on Blog Talk Radio - for some reason this show has been lost - sorry about that folks!

Blog Talk Radio Interview, The Reluctant Medium Show

I sat down yesterday with my good friend Jamie, ghost buster and Reluctant Medium on Blog Talk Radio for an hour of chat and call-ins about ghosts, past lives, how to develop your intuition, goddesses, setting New Moon intentions and more! You can listen in here (with links).

(Re:) Your talk with Tiffany (a listener who called in with a question), we all want quick answers, as we all know instinctually the answers are within us all...and I liked how you re-enforced that. I also liked how you brought to light that we all have the gift of intuition - it's just a matter of developing it. Its not quick and easy and requires work, if that is what we truly desire. I think your interaction with Tiffany was grounding. That's what I received from your interview.

I am big on dreams myself and I think often about the vivid ones that I remember. Keeping a journal is something I procrastinate in doing. I myself desire more clarity and affirmation within myself and my environment. Very interested in the past life reading, I think it will kick start some self actualization.

Comments from Carol on Facebook: First Radio show! I would not know it, you spoke beautifully. Onwards and upwards! Cheers!

My Psychic Background Part 2

I believe that intuition and connection to the Divine is our birthright - we are here to help and to heal.

It all started with dreaming, and so I paid attention because I believe in the power and wisdom of the subconscious realms. I started writing them down at the tender age of thirteen and the important ones stuck with me like touchstones and guideposts. One of the biggies (because I never forgot it!) involved me mentoring young people in trouble and so I continue to live that vision, but in the real world as a soul reader, psychic and astrologer.

I can't speak too much about any kind of mystical ancestry, because I was adopted as a baby and although I have reconnected with my entire birth family, I never got to know the one person who may have passed on her psychic, mystical abilities to me. She was my paternal grandmother, Ethel who visited Edgar Cayce's Institute (he was known as the 'Sleeping Prophet').

And so I pursued my mystical, goddess, pagan, astrological, shamanic, eastern based metaphysical studies on my own and with the help of books, mentors, teachers, healing circles, workshops and classes. It also didn't hurt that I moved to Laguna Beach, California in 1993 because so many healers, astrologers and teachers are drawn to that small, beautiful art town on the ocean.

Previously I'd spent 8 years attending to my intellectual needs and just plain growing up (I was a late bloomer!) which I did in Kingston, Ontario, Canada from 1984-1992 where I attended Queen's University and received my Bachelor of Arts in Art History. I discovered that I really loved to write, so describing and analyzing art was a perfect fit (I also wanted to become an artist since I was a kid). Although when I discovered Women's Studies I topped all my previous marks because finally, I'd found something where real life, my life, and intellectual analysis and the study of history, or herstory could come together and make sense in The Now.

I met my husband-to-be back in 1991. He was a Newport Beach, California lad sailing in the Olympic Trials (CORK) in Kingston, Ontario and the night I met him I just knew it was going to happen! I'd been preparing my friends for at least a week by telling them that I was going to meet a sailor and so it was. We met, wrote letters for a year (this was before the internet and email) and then got engaged one year later within one week of my graduation from graphic design school (St. Lawrence College). I also discovered that my birth grandfather had been at those very same Olympic Trials as a sailing judge and that he had been one of the founders of CORK. He had even sailed the exact boat in the Olympics as my husband had in the Trials. And to top things off my grandfather is a Scorpio, like my husband, and was married to my grandmother, a Virgo, like me. So, when folks ask me how I became a psychic, the answer is never simple!

What I do like to tell people who ask about my profession, is that the real turning point for me was when I turned 40. At the age of 40 all of us undergo a major astrological happening called Uranus Opposition and wow, it can really shake your world (Uranus doesn't rule lightning and electricity for nothing!) And so I got very serious and very busy, and started attending a psychic-medium development circle and became certified in crystal healing. My life took a whole new direction. Previously I'd been a full time professional artist which allowed for plenty of colorful, intuitive, soulful expressiveness along with mystical reverie and entrepreneurial get-up-and-go. I also learned invaluable lessons about business from both from my entrepreneurial architect husband and from living in Southern California.

At age 40 I truly found my way and with all that Virgo and Snake (my Eastern Astrological sign) in my chart I just had to be of service or die trying! And so here I am online, offering you my soul reading services, hoping to help you discover the passionate, intuitive, incredible soul you truly are and to offer healing support, empowering exercises and psychic guidance along the way as we make our way through this long, strange trip together.

"From Edgar Cayce's approach, psychic ability is not really about amazing talents or miracles of the mind. Instead, it becomes clear that psychic ability and intuition are really about discovering who we truly are and understanding how we might be helpful to one another."

I received my Bachelor of Arts in Art History from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario, Canada in 1988, and a diploma in Graphic Design from St. Lawrence College in 1992. I pursued my love of the arts by becoming a professional artist and establishing my own fine art business, LuLu Design in 1993. Painting, printmaking, life drawing, exhibiting, and selling my work have been major influences upon the way I envision and live in the world. Why I love what I do: "Connecting with folks on a soul deep level for healing, inspiration & heart-to-heart conversation - what more is there?"

I have always been a dreamer; seeing visions that provided clues, implied potential, answers and prophecy regarding past, present and future happenings. Over the years I have kept alive this skill and continue to hone it on a daily basis.

Kathy Crabbe: Awaken Your Intuition (Giving readings at Karma Boutique, San Diego, CA)

At age forty I felt great pressure to reach beyond my comfort zone and start offering my dreaming skills to others, in service to the Divine.

To me, the Divine is the Source of all beauty, love, peace and compassion and is thus undefinable, neither male nor female. We are, each and every one of us Divine and I believe our soul carries this Divine spark through many a lifetime until finally our lessons are all learned and we choose to become One with the All - our Divine Source.

My deepest wish in this incarnation is to serve the Divine by serving humanity in the best way I know how. I am always open to learning, creating and sharing all the nuggets, insights, tips and tools I've gathered along the way so I hope you'll join with me and pass it on!
