Woohoo! My lefty illustration, "for love of the Great Being" was just published in Garland of the Goddess: Tales & Poems of the Divine Feminine. My painting was chosen to illustrate a poem titled "I Am Bast" by T.J. O'Hare.
Ckhallita show-girl with style is from my Lefty Oracle Series and is now hanging at the Riverside Art Museum in an exhibit called Carioca Soul. Carioca Soul expresses the feeling of Rio de Janeiro, host to this year's Summer Olympics. The exuberant nature of Cariocas is a mirror of a living scenario, framed by the vibrant nature and human warmth of a city that lives joyfully and likes to share its sky, its ocean, and its happiness.

If you're looking for inspiration to decorate your spring or fall altar then look no further! Each month at the New and Full Moon I post suggestions for your altar to go along with the zodiac sign of the Moon such as: gemstones, goddesses, foods, herbs, tarot cards, colors, affirmations and creative prompts.
Feel free to take my material and use it to dress up your altar so that your Moon Meditation is an especially blessed event. I hope that the wildflowers below, picked from the sunny Southern California hillside behind my home inspire you as much as they do me! Blessed Be.
At each New and Full Moon I also include a Lefty card from my Lefty Oracle Deck. The Deck is divided into the elements of nature: earth/air/fire/water and of course Spirit. I channel a short, inspirational message specifically for that moon and include a Lefty Affirmation. I encourage you to try out non-dominant hand drawing to stimulate your brain and help you focus and center. Here's what an art therapist has to say about drawing with both hands ie. bi-lateral hand drawing:

Today for the Full Moon in Libra on March 23 I'm going to be channeling as usual for you AND for me, but instead of words I'm feeling in my body the fullness, the life, the beauty of this Libra Spring Equinox Full Moon (or Fall Equinox Full Moon for those in the Southern Hemisphere which includes my Libran brother Gary!) As you meditate for this Full Moon allow yourself to simply FEEL the fullness of the Libra vibe. Be in it...allow it...don't fight it...welcome it...feel the balance of light and dark.
Tend your spring garden (even if it's still snowy) or watch the fall leaves changing, changing. Write a few words ~ call it a poem. Bask in the bliss of a shared moment. Allow your cells to breathe in the stillness if only for a moment. Know you are free in that moment. Bless yourself and your work today. Then pass it on.
